The Zionist project with its 1948 ethnic cleansing of Palestine, its 1967 seizure and occupation of the West Bank from Jordan, Gaza from Egypt, and the Golan Heights from Syria, its continuous expulsion of Palestinians and confiscation of their land, the Palestinian resistance mounted from refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon and occupied Palestine, Israel’s invasions and assaults upon Lebanon in response, support of the resistance by other Arab states and Iran, Mossad and CIA-facilitated suppression of Arab democracy movements to maintain Arab dictators complicit with the occupation, the relentless demonization of Arabs and Muslims to maintain Israel’s pretense as the victim by deceptive U.S. media under Israel lobby influence, and over 40 US vetoes in the UN Security Council that have immobilized international law enforcement against Israel, has led to monumental consequences for the entire Middle East region.

In the unlikely event that bin Laden and his little band of angry Muslims did in fact perpetrate 9/11 without aid by the U.S. government, or at least thought they did, his stated motive reported on page 147 of the 9/11 Commission report was anger at U.S. support of Israel. This then was used as the duplicitous excuse to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

These international crimes resulting in over a million Muslim deaths could not have been tolerated by the American public had not Arabs and Muslims been cast for decades as dehumanized "terrorists" rather than an embattled and largely helpless people mounting rightful resistance to the illegal invasion, confiscation and occupation of their lands.

Our numerous commentaries, op-eds, letters-to-the-editor, and blog contributions over the last several years reflect this wider picture, and include statements about Israel/Palestine-related issues such as the Iraq War, international law, anti-Arab racism, deceptive framing of issues, outright propaganda, and threats upon Iran.

STATEMENTS FROM US

We opportunistically address newsworthy issues that arise through op-eds and letters-to-the-editor in newspapers, local and regional email distributions, and printed handouts at our regular public displays and sponsored public events. These condense and organize key information and points of argument and are written to be of use to other activists as well who are confronting similar challenges. They are organized here with the most recent first. Beginning in 2014, these are included along with news and commentaries from other sources on our Facebook pages, focused on Palestine and the broader context.
